Community Shred & eWaste Day - 4/11/15 @ Manteca Crossroads Street Faire
Free Document Shred and Electronic Waste Drive-Through Drop off Community Service Event held at the MANTECA CROSSROADS STREET FAIRE!
On Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 10:00 – 2 PM, Premier Community Credit Union along with Rapid Information Destruction Services will offer residents the opportunity to have their paper records, data storage materials and small electronics shredded and recycled during the Community Shred and e-Waste Day. This free event aims to raise public awareness of the need to securely destroy confidential material in order to prevent identify theft and fraud, as well as to encourage people to recycle more.
The event will be held at the Manteca Crossroads Street Faire. The drop-off entrance is the alley next to the Manteca Post Office on 165 N. Maple Avenue. Attendants will be there to direct you and pick up your shred and e-waste.
Shred Day donations will enter on North Maple St., turn right into the alley next to the Post Office, drive up, drop their shred in front of the truck, turn around, go out the same alley, exit RIGHT onto Maple, make a left into the parking lot, turn left into an alley to exit back on West Center St. between the sandwich shop and the furniture store (see map below)
Just drive through, pop the trunk or open the door and we will unload your items for you. For this event, the limit is 4 standard moving boxes or similar amount. E-waste is limited to computers, printers, monitors and faxes. For more information, call 209-235-1100 or visit www.premierccu.org.
What: Free Document Shred and Electronic Waste Drop off. Participants won’t even have to get out of their car. Pop the trunk or open the door and we will unload for you! We will be accepting cash donations for Second Harvest Food Bank in Manteca.
Why: As a Community Service effort for our members and our community to maintain a greener environment.

We will accept: small items such computer, monitors, and printers, PDAs, digital cameras, zip drives, telephones, cell phones, printers, copiers, laser and multifunction scanners and fax machines.
We cannot accept: Large Household Appliances (i.e. refrigerators, washers, dryers, etc.)Furniture, Hazardous Household Waste including batteries, car batteries, paint, pesticides, used oil, cleaning supplies, fluorescent light bulbs, water heaters, tires etc.
