2022 is officially here! And what better time to reevaluate, reorganize and refresh into a new you. First and foremost, no matter what, remember to be proud of yourself now and always! Here are just a few ideas of what to think over in order to make your year unforgettable:
01: Who You Are
Once you’re in the mindset of being okay with yourself no matter what, take time out to really look back on the previous year and think about where you stand. For instance, consider creating a list of topics in different areas of life including financially or physically to see if you’ve reached some of your goals no matter how big or small those might be. Perhaps you stopped drinking soda altogether, told yourself you’d go for a daily walk and stuck to it or maybe you stopped spending money on unnecessary purchases. Even if you didn’t stick to a plan, that’s completely fine too as the smallest accomplishments deserve a high-five!
02: What You Want
Write down goals of where you want to be and what you want to accomplish. Most everyone doesn’t have enough hours in the day to get everything done on their list, but pushing toward something and being a bit more organized with an idea of what some of those goals might be, could be one step further to helping those items get done. It is also a huge help to eliminate unnecessary chaos.
03: How You Plan to Get There
Now that you know where you currently stand and what you’re looking forward to accomplishing, you can now start aiming toward those goals. Write out a realistic timeframe of when you want to accomplish your goal. For instance, if your target is to be able to run a marathon by the end of the year, perhaps you can break it down into smaller objectives of how far you can run each week or month. If your goal is to save up financially so you can go on your dream vacation by the end of the year, consider breaking that down to how much money you’ll need to save on a monthly or weekly basis in order to get there.
04: Have Encouragement
Having reminders written down and posted in your home or office of what you’re aiming toward and why can help out immensely. From the biggest calendar charts posted to the smallest one-word on a sticky-note, anything can work. Sometimes even better is having an accountability person to help encourage you along as well. Whether that be a family member or friend, talking about your objectives with someone else or even sharing similar if not the same goals can make a huge difference and can make the adventure more fun too.
No matter where you stand and what your goals might be, remember to always be content with whatever happens and be excited to take on new adventures. It’s very helpful to go into anything with an open mindset and, above all else, stay encouraged. Stay safe, have fun and make 2022 your best year yet!
