Online Bill Payment FAQ

Here are some FAQ's that can help you get the most out of our bill payment service.

Why should I use bill pay?

Electronic bill payment is convenient and easy to use. It eliminates the hassle of writing checks, buying stamps and extra trips to the post office.

Who can I pay?

You can use bill payment for virtually any person, creditor or merchant in the United States. The only exceptions are the IRS, child support and government agencies.

How much do you charge for bill pay?

It's FREE, completely free with any checking accounts.  No per payment charge or any monthly charge.

From which account will my payments be deducted?

The payments you set up will be deducted from your Premier Community checking account.

How do I pay my bills?

You create the list of all recurring and/or one-time payments that you wish to make. Once you've set up your list of payees, you need only enter the amount and the date for one-time payments. The rest is handled automatically. Recurring payments with fixed amounts, such as mortgage or auto loan payments, will be paid automatically for the monthly date and amount you select.

Can I pay my bills on the weekend?

You may set up your payments during the weekend. However, bill payment prohibits you from scheduling a single payment and the first of a recurring payment on the same weekend. This is because payments scheduled for Sunday are processed the day before. Therefore, when scheduling payments on a weekend, the first day you can schedule payments (single payment or the first of a recurring payment) is the first business day following the weekend.

Can I pay bills to payees outside the U.S.?

No. Payments cannot be made to payees outside the U.S.

How do I check the status of a payment?

Bill payment tells you the status of your payment on the View Pending and History Payments page in the Status column. Please refer to the Status definitions for more information.

When is bill payment available?

24 hours a day, seven days a week.

What if there aren't enough funds in my account when payments are processed?

If there are non-sufficient funds, the debit will be returned, which will prompt the system to block your bill payment account, preventing you from making future payments until the NSF condition is resolved. Any future dated recurring payments scheduled for release during the time the account is blocked will not be sent. An NSF fee (refer to fee schedule by clicking here) will be assessed to your account immediately.

Who is Metavante Corp?

Metavante Corp processes the payments for our bill payment program.

How do I stop payment on a check?

Stop payments can be requested as long as the payment has not been processed. Payments are processed three to five days prior to the payment date you schedule to ensure they arrive on time. If you need to make a stop payment, please call Premier Community Credit Union Member Service @ (209) 235-1100 or come in to any one of our service centers.

How do I discontinue bill payment?

Submit your cancellation request to Premier Community Credit Union by email: info@premierccu.com or fax (209) 235-1121.
